Popular Welsh mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins is to perform at an outdoor concert at Haigh Hall on July 7.
The glamorous singer’s commercial approach to the classical field has seen her popularity rise.
Katherine, who has just finished an arena tour, will be accompanied by the full 32-piece National Symphony Orchestra and will be performing a selection of her favourite operatic arias, as well as songs from her current album, Believe.
She said: “I'm really looking forward to my concert at Haigh Hall as it will be my first time performing in Wigan.
“I’ll be performing with the National Symphony Orchestra who have been with me from the start so it’ll be a very special day and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone there.
“It’ll be a fun day where people can bring a picnic and as it’s an outdoor show, I hope the weather will be great.
“I’ll be doing a wide range of music from classical arias to the more popular songs like Angel and Bring Me To Life so there’ll be something there for everyone.”
