A WORLD-famous guitarist will give a masterclass at Barnoldswick’s Rainhall Centre on June 24.
Jerry Donahue, best known for his work with Fairport Convention, has earmarked the Pendle venue in his current UK tour.
Jerry is renowned for his ultra-fast playing and unique style.
Pendle musician Andrew Gilmour, AKA Giz, who works at the Rainhall Centre, said: “Jerry is a hero to guitarists all over the world.
“It’s tremendous that we’ve got him doing a masterclass in Barnoldswick.
“I hope I can jam with him during the evening.”
In 1997, guitar brand Fender created a Jerry Donahue signature Stratocaster to pay tribute to the Manhattan- born musician.
* The event, which is free, will take place on Thursday, June 24, from 7.30pm. Organisers have urged visitors to reserve a seat due to limited space. Anyone wishing to attend should email info@rainhallcentre.com or call 01292 818250 to reserve a place.
