STREET dance crew Diversity are playing a series of smaller gigs, including in Blackburn on June 10.
They may have handed over the Britain’s Got Talent winner’s crown to Spelbound last week, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping the rise of Diversity.
Beating favourite Susan Boyle to the crown last year, the East London crew recently completed their national tour, and are now playing King George’s Hall.
Formed in 2007, in memory of a dear friend, the troupe consists of 11 members – ranging in age from 13 to 26.
There are three sets of brothers; Ashley and Jordan Banjo, Ian, Jamie and Matthew McNaughton, Sam and Mitchell Craske, and four of their best friends Terry Smith, Ike Ezekwugo, Warren Russell and Perri Luc Kiely.
* Diversity are at King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Thursday, June 10. Call 0844 847 1664 for tickets.
