SO AFTER weeks of waiting and wondering, we finally discovered it was none other than David Platt responsible for terrorising his mother with nasty notes in last night's Corrie... der der derrrrr!
"I've brought home violent man after violent man," bleated Gail to Sarah-Lou (who's obviously been told she has nice eyes because she seems determined to keep them as wide as possible at all times).
"If David is a bad son, then it's because..." (camera close-up on Gail's face) "... I'm a bad mother."
I have a different theory.
I reckon the Norman Bates-in-the-making was driven to such evil acts by an insane jealousy for the soap's newest rising star, Richard Fleeshman, who plays Craig.
Little David probably watched him on Soapstar Superstar and saw him in Heat magazine with his hot new older-woman girlfriend and got a bit peeved.
It was a cry for help, after all, as Gail said.
And don't tell me you've not noticed David's started straightening his hair like Fleeshman.
I was secretly hoping for a Dirty Den-style rise from the grave from Tricky Dicky.
And there's no shortage of characters who wouldn't benefit from one of his hammer attacks Craig Charles being top of my list.
Elsewhere, Kellie was given her job back after the knicker factory girls pleaded with Baldwin she was innocent.
Under usual circumstances, if you'd been sacked for something you didn't do, branded a "tea leaf" by a smug Bradley Walsh and cast aside by all of your mates, you'd be sorting out the tribunal.
Not Kellie. She was so thrilled, she gave Baldwin a kiss.
