THE most un-politically correct show on TV is back and it's more outrageous than ever.
This isn't some late night yoof' programme on Channel Four, however. It's shown at 8pm on good old BBC2.
Yes, Top Gear has returned and it seems determined to get the letters of complaint flooding in.
In last night's show we had advice on how to sabotage speed cameras, the French were spoken of in decidedly non EU terms and a general air of anarchy seemed to hang over the entire programme.
Although supposedly a motoring programme, Top Gear has moved on and become something more.
It works, as you will find people who haven't the slightest interest in cars tuning in.
At its heart lies the relationship between the three presenters, Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May.
They behave as though they were down the pub rather than on camera and this matey micky taking is what makes the show tick.
Although last night's programme was below par when compared with the opening show, there were a few highlights.
These included the look of abject terror on the faces of the production staff at the local radio station who very unwisely decided to hand their drive time programme over to Jeremy and the boys.
You could see them mentally writing their resignation letters as Clarkson made a complete nonsense of the traffic reports and they made your average school radio project look like Sony Award winners.
