"PETE - do you think you're acting like a complete banker?" asked Big Brother, speaking for a nation, in last night's instalment of the mad house.
Even po-faced Pete's couldn't help but crack a smile, admitting it was the best question he'd been asked since he'd been there.
Day 18 in the house and the housemates are well and truly going up the wall.
The latest task in which Preston and Chantelle were let into a secret "private members club" seems to have tipped them over the edge.
The old boys club of Michael, Pete and George seems to be finally cottoning on to the fact Chantelle and Preston are going to win.
And they don't like it one bit.
Pete wanted to "hit Preston on the back of the neck" and George said Chantelle had had her day, not being a real celeb and all.
In other news, Chantelle (who incidentally holds her knife and fork like a pen) was so traumatised at the thought of running out of foundation she couldn't sleep and ended up wearing brown-skinned Traci's warpaint.
Pete and George had Michael's card marked.
"Comedians are often unhinged. They scare me," said Pete.
"What you can say about Michael is he's not as nice as he looks," agreed George.
Fair enough at least George himself has the decency to look like a freak.
With the final looming on Friday, I'm almost missing it already.
This series has been one of the best ever, and not just out of the celebrity versions.
