SO Phil Mitchell has finally given in and got it on with hard-faced Shirley Carter in EastEnders.

And although his pillow-talk left a lot to be desired (“This was a mistake”) I reckon he’s finally met his match.

Phil has spent too long chasing the better-looking women of Albert Square, with previous conquests including Sharon, Kathy, Kate, and Suzy.

Now you don’t need to be a brain surgeon to see that Phil ain’t the best looking guy in the world... or in the square... or even in the Queen Vic.

His figure is portly to say the least, he hasn’t got much up top (hair, I mean) and you’d need an awful lot of cover-up to calm that fiery-looking red complexion of his.

But with her furrowed brow and aggressive personality, I reckon Shirley is just about perfect for our Phil.

It’s only a matter of time before he sees that perfectly-coiffed Suzy isn’t what he needs. Shirley’s where it’s at.
