The Beeb clearly thought it would be an interesting insight to get the former Deputy PM’s views on the haves and have nots.

I’m not sure about other viewers but The Class System and Me has just left me wondering why they bothered.

Last night there was a great piece of television which saw John Prescott and Jodie Marsh thrown together in one of the most unlikely pairings since George Galloway snuggled up to Rula Lenska while dressed as a cat.

An investigation into the class system could still make interesting viewing if it were done fairly but for it to work the presenter really needs to be a little more objective than Mr P.

Still, at least he got to meet Jodie Marsh for his troubles!
