DIVA Mariah Carey is possibly the most irritating woman alive.

This week she has already infuriated radio bosses when she cancelled interviews because she's "not a morning person" turning up 24 hours late for an interview with Radio 1.

So I was not impressed when I saw it was the pop princess taking over the guest host on my favourite Friday night programme, The Friday Night Project, but the call of the Carr made me tune in anyway.

I should have listened to my first instinct and done something more entertaining like watch paint dry instead.

This woman is what every other woman in the world aspires to be about as little like as it is possible. And an hour of her whining voice was too much to bear.

My dislike for Mariah was born when I read how she refused to enter her London hotel in 2005 until a red carpet was laid out, flanked by white candles.

And oh no she wasn't just having an off day, the list goes on.

She hasn't used public transport for 15 years, it's reported that an assistant holds her drink as she sips it through a straw, and bodyguards surround her dinner table so other restaurant diners can't see her eating.

Is she for real?

The latest thing I heard was that she takes being called a diva as a compliment, well don't, it's not!
