THE Osmonds are heading to Burnley!
For the first time in the UK, brothers Merrill, Jay and Jimmy from the world-famous singing family will star in The Andy Williams Christmas Spectacular which comes to the Mechanics on Saturday, December 19.
The show will come direct from Andy Williams’ Moon River Theatre in Branson Missouri which the Osmonds now run and will feature the Moon River singers and dancers.
Jimmy Osmond said: “I am thrilled to bring Andy’s Christmas Spectacular to our friends in the UK.
“I first appeared on Andy William’s stage when I was only three years of age.
“My brothers had been singing back-up on Andy’s biggest hits and had been regulars on his hit television series for several years, “It’s such a joy to carry on Andy’s legacy and continue his treasured holiday tradition”
The Andy Williams Christmas Shows became an integral part of the festive season in America.
This award-winning variety production will feature footage ofAndy Williams from Christmases past and will be packed with seasonal songs.
Plus the Osmonds performing their hits live including Love Me for a Reason, Crazy Horses and Down By The Lazy River.
In a career spanning over 50 years, the Osmonds have collectively sold over 77million records around the world regularly topping the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
For over 25 years they have performed regularly at the Osmond Family Theatre in Branson Missouri having made the town their home, winning a host of awards for their live shows.
The Christmas spectacular will see the three Osmond brothers joined by comedian Jimmy Cricket on the bill.
The popular Irishman will be bringing his own brand of gentle humour to the variety show which will be a festive treat for the whole family – and Osmond fans in particular.
