St Mary's College BTEC Sport group, who have little mountaineering experience, are attempting to climb Scafell Pike on Tuesday 16th May.
Scafell is the highest mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres (3,209 ft) above sea level and located in the Lake district. The group are raising money for Every Action Has Consequences, a charity close to our hearts at St Mary's www.eahconsequences.com.
The delivery of the event has incorporated many vocational elements such as marketing, PR, finance, health and safety and logistical planning. The students have also attracted sponsorship from Intack Self-Drive who have kindly donated a minibus for 2 days.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to help us reach our £500 target can do so via www.justgiving.com/fundraising/stmaryspinnacle.
Good luck to all involved!
