St Mary's College English and Modern Language students took in a trip to Italy, during February half term.
Students visited the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa before heading off to Florence, which became home for the next few days.
The second day comprised a visit to the architecturally stunning cathedral ‘Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore’, followed by a guided tour of Florence lead by a charming Italian woman, taking in other iconic aspects of the city. The third day included a visit to the Da Vinci museum, exhibiting an array of Leonardo’s fascinating endeavours and the final day’s visit was to the infamous Uffizi gallery which holds art pieces of the Renaissance including works of the likes of Botticelli. Staff and students had a great time soaking up the culture.
