We were delighted to welcome to St Mary's, Kate Hollern, newly elected MP for Blackburn, today.
Principal Frank Dixon said, “We are honoured that Kate accepted our invitation at such a busy time for her. As one of the largest providers of A Levels and a staunch supporter of the local community providing 3 outstanding nurseries, high quality day time and night time higher education degrees, successful essential skills classes in English and Mathematics and a thriving leisure centre, we welcome the opportunity to show Kate around our campus”.
Ms Hollern spoke with students including Tom Boys, Governor and Chair of the Student Council, and Jess Henderson, Youth MP for Blackburn with Darwen, Chair of Governors, Nick McNeil, and staff during her visit, and we hope to see her again throughout her term of office.
