Twins James and Matthew Harvey not only share the same birthday, they also share a great achievement. The two brothers received their A Level results today, totting up a total of six A* grades between them. This outstanding accomplishment has enabled the pair to secure their places at two top universities.
James and Matthew Harvey, aged 18 and former Head Boy and Senior Prefect of St Augustine’s, both gained a perfect score in the same subjects, achieving an A* in Biology, A* in Chemistry and A* in Mathematics.
James will be going to New College, Oxford University to study Biochemistry, whilst Matthew will be taking his place at Durham University to study Natural Sciences.
Since birth, James and Matthew have taken part in the Twins’ Early Development Study, which focuses on the nature versus nurture argument.
“My brother and I complete questionnaires and tasks which investigate similarities and differences in many aspects of our development including academic ability.” James Harvey
Judging by their mirrored results, these identical twins have no differences in their academic excellence.
Both James and Matthew agree “The teachers, tutors and staff at St Mary’s know how to bring out the best in students.”
