St Mary’s College supported this year’s Age UKs Bobble Day on Friday 7th February.
Age UK asks everyone to help ‘Warm Up Britain’ on Bobble Day by wearing something warm to help make winter a better season for older people. From wearing woolly jumpers to work, to tea mornings or winter walks – can help make a difference for older people!
All proceeds from Frankie’s Coffee shop, within the College, was donated towards the cause. In addition Health and Social Care Level 1 and Level 2 students sold mini pom poms at £1. The Health & Social Care students decided to get involved after learning how many older people are lost each year due to the cold weather. In support of the day staff and students joined in by wearing their woollies and made donations to the cause.
Thank you to everyone who donated, we raised £154.07!
