Thousands of excited revellers packed The Mall today hoping to catch a glimpse of the Queen.
Many had camped overnight to secure a prime spot to see her go past in the 1902 State Landau as part of the carriage procession to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.
The Duke of Edinburgh had planned to accompany the Queen on the journey from Westminster Hall to Buckingham Palace but he remains in hospital with a bladder infection.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will instead sit with the Queen and wave to crowds as the carriage makes its way from Westminster, along Whitehall, through Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch and then down The Mall to the Palace.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will follow in another carriage.
Benedict Cleotes, 40, from the Philippines, camped out from 4am to save his spot.
He said: "I managed to sleep because I dressed warmly but it was very cold.
"Seeing the Queen is very special to me and I want to have something to tell them in the Philippines, they will be jealous.
"I am most looking forward to seeing the Royal Family come out on to the Palace balcony to wave."
