A STREET party in Blackburn's Whalley Range has raised £100 for the East Lancashire Hospice during its first hour of celebrations.
The festivities were attended by Mussa Saleh, chairman of the Dedza Welfare Trust, which raises money for good causes.
He and his family travelled from Leicester especially for the party.
Mr Saleh said: “We are really pleased because the turn out of people here is big and it is nice to see everybody getting together for a good cause.”
