RAILTON Avenue in Blackburn was cordoned off for a large street party.
Organisers put up over 350ft of bunting and more than 30 red, white and blue balloons.
Children turned up in fancy dress while others came wearing patriotic red, white and blue coloured outfits.
Parents had painted the Union Jack flag on their children’s faces. A bouncy castle entertained the children and prizes where given out in a raffle.
Organiser Darren Daykin said: ”I hope everyone had a good time. I remember celebrating the silver Jubilee and I wanted to create a similar party. I wanted to bring the community together, particular now, because there is so much misery around at the moment.”
