ON researching my family history I find that my maternal grandmother had two half sisters and two half brothers about which I knew nothing until recently.
They were the children of Fred Tagg, an insurance salesman and Primitive Methodist lay preacher and Charlotte Dyas, his third wife. If anyone has any information about these children, born in the second half of the 19th century or if they are descendants, I would love to hear from them.
I am also looking for descendants of my maternal grandfather Allen Edward Riley and his first wife, Minnie Edmondson.
My mother thought there was a son but had no details, but it is possible he may have been in the pub trade. Again, I would welcome any information.
All these people lived in the Nelson/Burnley area around at the turn of the 19th/20th century.
