The Lancashire Wildlife Trust is collecting information on the history of Platt's Lodge in Accrington.
The trust has been appointed by Waterside apartment developers Globe Enterprises to carry out a study of the history and ecology of the area.
Details, including how the lodge got its name, are needed for a leaflet.
