Delightful twins’ title
THERE was a record number of entries for Colne Carnival Association’s fifth annual baby show in the summer of 1968.
In all, 125 babies were entered for the various classes and paraded by proud mums at Colne Municipal hall, And here are the twins, who jointly won the overall title baby of the show and the Asquith Cup.
They were Jacqueline Louise and Amanda Jane Lees, of Every Street, Nelson, Aged five months, they were the second set of twins to win the show’s top title.
