LAST week's photo of the old ROF choir of 40 years ago struck a chord with several readers.
Ian Hunt, of Chorley, who worked at the Blackburn factory for 30 years, finishing in 1990 as deputy personnel manager, said it showed the Easter service, held at the plant on Maundy Thursday.
Services were held every Easter and Christmas by the Bishop of Blackburn, Dr Charles Claxton.
He recognised services manager Jack Youd, John Cropper and James Wilson, who worked in the wages department.
Soprano Dawn Kay remembered the choir's success in local music festivals and once singing for the Labour party conference in Blackpool.
"We used to get two hours off work every Wednesday to train and we wore brightly coloured overalls, mine was yellow," she said.
"There was also a drama group, too, which was also successful and I think we went to London a couple of times to perform."
