A PHOTOGRAPH of St Albans Infants, Blackburn, from the early 1900s, caught the eye of Bygones reader Bill Thompson the other week.

For his mother, Eleanor Sturzaker was one of six sisters who attended the school at around the same time.

In a bid to try and find out more about her early days and those of his aunties, the 86-year-old has asked if Phyllis Bradley, who sent in the image for our pages, could get in touch with him.

Her mother Eleanor Wearden was on the class photograph, in her white apron and ringlets and Bill has appealed to her to contact him on 01254 812209.
