I HAVE been to the opticians this week. I was hoping that they would be able to supply me with a pair of specs that would enable me not only to read but to see the future. But alas that was not so.
IT is a peculiar thing, our memory. Sometimes it’s great to spend a bit of time with a group of friends talking about ‘do you remember when?’ and on other occasions it can make you a little sad recalling those who are no longer with us.
Last Wednesday Bill and I were off to see his son David who unfortunately has suffered a heart attack and ended up in Salford Royal Hospital.
I and, of course, all parts of the family were present at Samlesbury Hall for the big occasion which was the wedding of my grandson and his beautiful lady at the weekend.
