Nick Pope 8 (Man of the Match)
Two very impressive first half saves from Roberto Pereyra, one down low to his left and one high to his left. Might be frustrated with the way he was beaten for Watford’s goal but eased the pressure brilliantly late on as he showed safe hands when collecting balls into the box.
Matt Lowton 7
Good cross for Wood’s disallowed goal. Solid at the back, although occasionally troubled by Pereyra.
James Tarkowski 6
Thankful to Nkoudou for taking a booking after a slip on halfway nearly let Watford in. Not his best game.
Kevin Long 7
Trip on Hughes led to free-kick that eventually produced Watford’s goal, but made amends with assist for Cork’s winner
Stephen Ward 7
Got forward well down the left and provided early cross for Barnes chance. Stuck to his task defensively
Aaron Lennon 6
An off day although the service to him was limited. One dangerous run and cross in the first half about it
Jack Cork 7
Clarets midfield outnumbered so had to work hard. Captain for the day popped up another headed goal
Ashley Westwood 8
Sprayed one excellent crossfield pass to Lennon in the first half. Showed his desire with a brilliant block on Janmaat shot
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou 6
Struggled to get on the ball but tracked back diligently and deserves credit for taking his booking to stop counter
Ashley Barnes 6
Flicked an early header over but impact limited aside from that. Moved to the left when Vokes came on
Chris Wood 7
Good header for disallowed goal and saw a late chance smothered, but couldn’t get hold of the ball until the game turned around
