ACCRINGTON Stanley are considering offering a deal to Glenn Hoddle Academy graduate Andrew Owens.
The 20-year-old centre back was at the Crown Ground to watch Stanley’s 0-0 draw with Aldershot on Saturday.
The Reds are contemplating handing a week-to-week contract to the former Stoke youth team player, although no decision is likely to be made in time for tonight’s Carling Cup first round tie at Doncaster Rovers.
Stanley are searching for a tall centre back, with their current central pair both under six feet, and 6ft 3in Owens is looking to return to the Football League after spending time at Hoddle’s Academy in Spain.
The Liverpudlian spent last season in non-league with Stafford, Altrincham and Rhyl.
