BLACKBURN Rovers have rejected an offer from Fulham for striker Jason Roberts.
The Cottagers are believed to have tabled a bid in the region of £2.5 million for the former Wigan frontman, but Rovers instantly rejected it, insisting the 29-year-old was not for sale'.
A Rovers spokesman told the Lancashire Telegraph this morning: "We've had an offer for Jason Roberts but we are not interested in selling him."
Roberts missed a large chunk of last season through injury, but when he did get a run in the side towards the end of the campaign, he struck up an instant understanding with Benni McCarthy, scoring five goals in his last six appearances, and manager Mark Hughes sees him as a key figure in his plans for the future.
