Blackburn Rovers are expecting to sign Martin Olsson’s identical twin brother, Marcus, tomorrow – as the club braces itself for a frantic transfer deadline day finale.
The attacking left winger is a free agent, having left Swedish outfit Halmstads at the end of his contract late last year, and made his international debut for Sweden earlier this month.
Marcus, 23, originally came on trial to Ewood Park with his twin brother in January 2006 but, while Martin signed, he returned to his junior club Hogaborgs.
Swedish outfit Djurgarden and Norwegian club Viking Stavanger were also interested in the winger but, with him arriving at Ewood earlier this evening, looks set to sign a two-and-a-half year deal at Rovers tomorrow.

On what is traditionally the most chaotic day in the football calendar, Swiss right back Scott Sutter was this evening waiting to hear whether he has earned a move to Ewood Park – although it is understood Rovers may yet prefer other options.
While Rovers were also readying themselves for further bids for their want away skipper Chris Samba, who again did not train with the first team today after strongly expressing his wish to quit Rovers, but the Ewood outfit remain adamant he is not for sale.
Greek giants Olympiakos have admitted defeat in their efforts to sign Mauro Formica on loan from Rovers and, while Brazilian club Flamengo remain interested in the Argentine play maker, it is unlikely anyone will meet the club’s £3.5million valuation.
Rovers boss Steve Kean remains desperate to further bolster his squad this month, with a central midfielder and a right back still on his wish list.
Relegation rivals Wigan Athletic were ready to take Andrews off Rovers’ hands but are unwilling to stump up cash for a player who has previously been told he is surplus to requirements in East Lancashire.
Having been locked in negotiations with the club ever since returning from a loan spell at Ipswich earlier this month, Andrews yesterday handed in an official transfer request as he looked to force a move out of Ewood Park.
The 31-year-old has been training with the reserves, along with Samba, and is desperate move for a move today as he looks for first team football ahead of the summer’s European Championships.
Rovers though want a transfer fee fro Andrews, with his contract not expiring until the summer of 2012.
Sutter’s representatives told the Lancashire Telegraph today they were still waiting for the green light from Rovers for him to complete a move from the Young Boys of Bern.
The 25-year-old has undergone a series of medical tests after spending a few days at Brockhall but the Lancashire Telegraph a move is still far from certain.
