ACCRINGTON Stanley loanee Micah Evans is set to extend his Crown Ground stay until the end of the season – as John Coleman looks to continue his side’s rise up the League Two table.
Blackburn Rovers’ 18-year-old striker is struggling to be fit for tomorrow’s home game against Torquay but should see his Stanley see renewed until the end of the campaign.
Evan’s pace and eye for goal has added extra options in Coleman’s attack with his side now looking to make it three wins on the trot against play-off chasing Torquay.
With away games against Morecambe and Hereford left to finish off 2011, Coleman is hoping for a bumper crowd to help see the year off in style.
The Stanley boss said: “It’s been a great 12 months with some memorable moments. Reaching the play-offs last season was a fantastic achievement and although there’s a long way to go this season we’re starting to put together another run now.
“The lads are still buzzing from Saturday’s win down at Wimble-don, making it three wins and a couple of draws in the last five matches.
“Hopefully as many of you as possible will be able to come along and cheer us on against Torquay United this Saturday – it has to be better than trying to do your Christmas shopping!
“It’s our only home game in December, so it would be really encouraging to get a good crowd in to cheer us on.
“Off the field it’s great news that the club have now sold over 400 shares since the launch last month, over twice as many as the original target for Christmas.
“There’s been a lot of activity recently with the trip to London and plenty of coverage in the media and if you haven’t already bought your share then why not treat yourself for Christmas, or even better buy one for someone else, they make an ideal present for that hard-to-buy-for friend or relative!”
Centre back Sean Hessey will miss the visit of Torquay through suspension, having picked up his fifth booking at Wimbledon.
