CARL Garner picked up his first win as Clitheroe manager thanks to Alan Coar’s excellent second half strike.
Coar was called in to the starting line-up and Garner made wholesale changes to his side.
And the striker repaid that faith with the only goal of the game in the 51st minute, controlling the ball on the edge of the area and firing home.
Keeper Zack Hibbert was in top form to keep Garforth at bay while new skipper Jack Higgins was rock solid in the heart of the Blues defence as they kept their first clean sheet in 20 games.
