ACCRINGTON Stanley are set to sign striker Andy Mangan from Welsh Premier League side Bala Town.
The 31-year-old only joined the Lakesiders in the summer but has been training with the Reds in the last few months to maintain his fitness with Bala a part-time club.
Mangan spent two years with Stanley from 2005-2007 and was most recently with Tranmere Rovers in the National League.
He joined Bala in June and featured for the club in their Europa League defeat to San Marino side Tre Fiori.
The Welsh club confirmed he had left the club by mutual consent on Wednesday and the Denbighshire Free Press is reporting that he has signed for Stanley.
Bala boss Colin Caton was quoted as saying: "We could have stood in his way, but it's a big thing to play in League One."
Stanley boss John Coleman has been seeking reinforcements in attack all summer and Mangan could help fill the void left by the departing Kayden Jackson whose move to Ipswich is set to be confirmed on Thursday.
