ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman believes new signing Sam Finley can thrive with the Reds.
The 25-year-old is Stanley's third signing of the summer, following Will Wood and Piero Mingoia, having moved to the Wham Stadium on a free transfer after his contract expired at National League side AFC Fylde.
And Coleman feels he has uncovered another gem as the Reds prepare for life in League One.
"Sam is a good player, and had two particularly good games against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup last season.
"He is a competitive midfielder who fits the mould here," said the Reds boss. "He is hungry. He could have got more money playing in non-league but he wanted a crack at the league and he is backing himself to do that, I like that.
"He is the type of player we want. We can't give him riches but we can give him the platform to go on and better himself."
Finley is a former Everton youngster who has also played in the Welsh Premier League for TNS as well as Wrexham and AFC Fylde in the National League.
He captained the Coasters last season as they missed out on promotion in the play-offs.
