DEFENDER Tom Anderson has joined Doncaster Rovers on a two-year deal, while Chris Long and Josh Ginnelly have also left Turf Moor.
Burnley-born Anderson was out of contract with the Clarets and the 24-year-old has now made a permanent move to the Keepmoat Stadium, having been on loan with Rovers since January, making seven appearances either side of a fractured cheekbone injury.
Anderson came through the youth system at Turf Moor and spent 17 years with his boyhood club, but he never made a first team appearance for the Clarets.
“I'm really happy to get the deal done quickly. It means I can now relax with my future sorted and get ready for the start of pre-season,” he said.
“It's important for any player, and with me being out of contract at Burnley I wanted to get it done. I didn't want to be going away and worrying about what was going to happen.
“Everything to do with the club made me want to stay here. The manager was great with me during my loan spell and I got on well with all the lads.
"I had a fantastic time at Burnley and would like to thank everyone - staff and team-mates - for giving me the start I had at such a good club and now is the ideal time to start a new part of my career."
Long and Ginnelly have both been released by Burnley, with their contracts coming to an end this summer.
Striker Long, 23, joined the Clarets from Everton in July 2015 and made 10 league appearances during Burnley's march to the Championship title, but he has since had loan spells with Fleetwood Town, Bolton Wanderers and Northampton Town as he dropped out of the first team picture at Turf Moor.
Winger Ginnelly, 21, arrived from Shrewsbury Town in August 2015 but has never made a senior appearance. He spent the end of the season on loan at Tranmere Rovers and helped them to promotion via the play-offs at Wembley last weekend.
