CLARETS reporter Tyrone Marshall hands out the ratings from Burnley's 0-0 draw with Brighton at Turf Moor.
Nick Pope 6
One low save from Gross aside he was rarely troubled, but did slice a couple of kicks in open play
Matt Lowton 7
Kept the dangerous Izquierdo quiet and created a good chance for Barnes with a first half cross
James Tarkowski 6
Rarely troubled defensively but sloppy in possession a couple of times, including one very loose first half pass
Kevin Long 7 (Man of the Match)
Comfortably got the better of Leonardo Ulloa, who barely had a kick. For a man without a Premier League start a year ago he is continuing to grow in confidence. Sean Dyche’s faith has been rewarded.
Stephen Ward 5
Wasn’t posed many problems defensively but very rarely linked up with Gudmundsson going forward
Aaron Lennon 5
Gone off the boil after a bright start to his Clarets career. Never really got into the game on Saturday.
Jack Cork 7
A controlling display in midfield. Tried to drive Burnley forward and popped up in some promising positions
Ashley Westwood 6
Moved the ball well but never stamped his authority on the game in what was a tight midfield battle.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson 7
Again the most creative presence on the pitch for Burnley. Set-pieces were generally dangerous
Ashley Barnes 6
Could have done better with first half chance from Lowton cross. Feeding on scraps aside from that.
Chris Wood 6
Came off injured but his threat was minimal before that. Couldn’t find a way into the game
