CLARETS reporter Tyrone Marshall hands out the player ratings for Burnley's Premier League defeat to Chelsea.

Nick Pope 6

An up-and-down evening. Made some good stops, but not particularly decisive with Moses’s cross for first goal and beaten at his near post for second

Matt Lowton 6

Difficult night for the full-back, who looked unsure who to mark with Pedro drifting inside

James Tarkowski 6

Struggled with Morata and Giroud and troubled when Pedro ran at him as space opened up in the second half

Kevin Long 5

Perhaps a tad fortunate not to give a penalty away but given a really tough time by Chelsea’s two strikers

Stephen Ward 6

Excellent covering to clear a dangerous first-half cross, but troubled by Moses, who set the first up and scored the second

Aaron Lennon 6

Worked ever so hard tracking back but not his night going forward, had little impact in Chelsea’s half

Jack Cork 8 (Man of the Match)

Burnley’s best player by a distance against his former club. Snappy in the tackle and showed a good range of passing to try and drive the Clarets forward

Ashley Westwood 6

Got around the pitch well and offered an out ball for defence, but struggled to find a forward pass and put any pressure on Bakayoko and Kante

Johann Berg Gudmundsson 7

Burnley’s livelies attacker. Couple of decent crosses and set the goal up with his drive infield to create problems

Ashley Barnes 6

Probably the most fortuitous goal he’ll ever score, but as a striker you’ll take the lot. Had a battle on his hands all night

Chris Wood 6

The Clarets front two were marshalled superbly all night, and like Barnes Wood had very little to go at
