ROVERS winger Liam Feeney has joined Championship leaders Cardiff City on loan.
Feeney hasn’t started a league game for Rovers this season, and was previously linked with a loan move to the Bluebirds in January.
He has moved to the Cardiff City Stadium on a loan deal until January 1.
The 31-year-old, who is in his second spell at Ewood Park, started Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy win over Stoke City Under-21s, and the Carabao Cup defeat to Burnley, as well as making a substitute appearance in the opening day defeat at Southend United.
But with Rovers having strengthened in the wide areas, with the arrival of Harry Chapman on loan from Middlesbrough, Mowbray allowed Feeney to move to Cardiff with a view to getting some more game-time with Neil Warnock’s side.
Feeney joined Rovers last summer after his release from Bolton, making 40 appearances in all in the 2016/17 season.
