BLACKBURN Rovers have made 10 changes for tonight’s Capital One Cup first-round clash with League One new boys Scunthorpe United.
Only Jason Lowe, who will captain Gary Bowyer’s side, remains from the team that started Friday’s Championship opener against Cardiff City.
Jack O’Connell, 20, makes his senior debut for Rovers and he will be partnered in the heart of their defence by Yann Songo’o, 22, for whom it will be his first appearance for the club at Ewood Park.
Ben Marshall and Adam Henley, having recovered from ankle ligament damage, make their first starts since January and March respectively.
Jake Kean makes his first appearance for Rovers’ first team since December while there are also first appearances of the campaign for Chris Taylor, Lee Williamson, Luke Varney, David Dunn and Josh King.
Scunthorpe’s line-up includes former Rovers youngster Eddie Nolan.
