BLACKBURN Rovers have been forced to make four changes to their side for this afternoon’s must-win Championship match at struggling Birmingham City.
Full-backs Michael Keane and Tommy Spurr and midfielders Tom Cairney and Lee Williamson all picked up injuries in Good Friday’s frustrating 0-0 home draw with Yeovil Town and miss out.
They are replaced in the starting line-up by Todd Kane, Markus Olsson, Josh King and Corry Evans.
And to make matters worse for Rovers, who are four points off the play-off places with three games to play, former Birmingham midfielder David Dunn is also ruled out with a calf problem.
Birmingham, who have not won any of their last 15 home matches, a shocking run of eight defeats and seven draws stretching back to October 1, have made five changes from the team that started their 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Will Packwood, Tyler Blackett, Brian Howard, Federico Macheda and Peter Lovenkrands come in for Paul Robinson, Jonathan Spector, Mitchell Hancox, Shane Ferguson and Nikola Zigic.
Birmingham: Randolph, Packwood, Thorpe, Blackett, Reilly, Burke, Caddis, Huws, Howard, Macheda, Lovenkrands. Subs: Doyle, Martin, Hancox, Lee, Shinnie, Gray, Zigic.
Rovers: Robinson, Kane, Hanley, Kilgallon, Olsson, Conway, Evans, Lowe, King, Rhodes, Gestede. Subs: Eastwood, Varney, Dabo, Feeney, Taylor, Lenihan, Rittenberg.
