BLACKBURN Rovers’ under fire owners Venky’s are set to be at Ewood Park this weekend – with club matriarch Anuradha Desai preparing for just her second visit since The Walker Trust sold up in November 2010.
Co owners Desai, Balaji and Venkatesh Rao are all understood to be making the journey from India later this week to welcome in new manager Michael Appleton’s regime.
Appleton and his assistant Ashley Westwood will take charge for the first time on Saturday, for the Championship visit of Charlton Athletic, and are set to meet their bosses.
It is believed Venky’s will also attempt to sort out the divide in the hierarchy behind the scenes, with global advisor Shebby Singh’s Rovers future uncertain.
Desai’s only other Rovers visit was for a defeat to Tottenham back in February 2011 – a trip that coincided with the departure of former chairman John Williams.
The Rao brothers have watched Rovers numerous times earlier this campaign but the weekend’s visit will be their first for a couple of months.
