A NEW housing action group called Keep Copster Green Green has been formed.
A Facebook page is encouraging local residents to join.
The group, which has more than 100 backers, is objecting to planning applications for 32 houses in Albany Drive and nine properties in Lovely Hall Lane.
Writing on the group’s ‘wall’, Maggy Howells said: “We want to oppose development plans and keep Copster Green a beautiful rural hamlet.
"Can we urge everyone who joins to write, ring or email the local councillors, MP, MEPs and lodge their opposition to the planning applications that, if approved, would double the size of our hamlet and spoil this beautiful location forever.
"Joining the group isn't enough –we need people to let the authorities know how we feel.”
