HORSE riders will be unable to use a footpath linking St Albans Road and Shawbrook Close, in Rishton, after A frames were installed. The frames, which can also be seen installed at various points along entrances to the canal towpath, were put in place after councillors received complaints about a small number of horse riders, Coun Ken Moss said. The footpath has just been resurfaced to the tune of £6,000. A sign that shows the path is off-limits to horse riders has also been installed, as has a bin for dog waste.
