THE Armed Forces, past, present and future will be recognised at Hyndburn’s Armed Forces Day tomorrow in Rishton, with a parade and service at the war memorial.
The Mayor, Coun Judith Addison, will take part in a parade which starts at 10.15am from Rishton Library. At 10.30am, the parade will go into School Street, right into Commercial Street before turning into High Street, then continuing along High Street and Blackburn Road to the war memorial, where a short service will take place.
Coun Addison said: “We owe a great debt to our Armed Forces and this event is a welcome opportunity to recognise all they do for us. All Hyndburn people are welcome to come along and I hope many will join us on Saturday.”
Armed Forces Day is held annually, providing the nation with a dedicated day where people can come together to show their appreciation and support of the Armed Forces.
