A FAMILY-run Old Langho business is close to finishing the building of 19 luxury timber holiday lodges.
Siblings Philip Simpson, 40, Helen Sharples, 37, Robert Simpson, 29, and their cousin Ian Simpson, 34, jointly run Ribble Valley View which is located just behind the Black Bull Pub, in Old Langho Road.
The wooden lodges, two of which have been completed and sold, will all have between two and three bedrooms and the project has been part-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Investment.
Robert said: “The park looks fantastic and the construction came in on schedule and budget.
“It is great to see the fruition of over two years’ hard work and planning.
“Construction all went to plan and we are thrilled with the outcome of the park and how well the contractor worked to have the first phase finished.
“The second phase, which will complete the remaining 13 of the total 19 units, is scheduled for later this year.”
His sister Helen said: “We have really enjoyed being a big part of the park construction and working closely with each other.
“We are thrilled with the development of the park infrastructure in getting where we are today.
“We are all looking forward to people being able to enjoy our holiday lodge park in the heart of the stunning Ribble Valley.”
Prices for the holiday lodges, which will be open to their owners all year, start from £84,995 and two of the units have already been sold.
Fourth-generation farmer Ian Simpson, who also runs Simpson Farm Dairies in Kenyon Lane, Dinkley, said: “This is has been a great project to be involved in and I hope that it will strike a cord with people who want an affordable holiday lodge in the Ribble Valley.
“It’s been great to have worked with my cousins and I hope that all of our hard work will pay off.”
