IT was a busy day yesterday for the fire service in East Lancashire.
Two fire engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall attended a blaze involving freestanding garages in Taylor Avenue, Edgeside.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at around 1.15pm and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.
No injuries were reported.
While elsewhere, a crew from Darwen was called to a car fire in Paul Rink Way, Blackburn at about 10.15pm.
Firefighters used one breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
