A CAR caught fire on a shopping centre car park and the flames spread to a second car.
A woman out for an afternoon of shopping parked her silver Ford Fusion on top of The Mall, Blackburn, and noticed smoke pouring from the bonnet.
She then noticed flames and alerted the fire brigade shortly after 2pm yesterday.
Firefighters said, by the time they arrived, the fire had spread to an Audi A3 parked in the next bay.
Both cars are thought to be written off, fire bosses later said.
