A CUTTING-edge artist from Burnley is making waves in the fashion and music industries after impressing with his unique designs.
Former St Theodore’s RC High School pupil Ben Pepper, 32, whose work includes street art and sculptures, has already been commissioned by famous brands such as Adidas and New Balance to produce designs for their products and advertising campaigns.
Ben, who recently moved his operation to Islington Mill, Salford, is now preparing to undertake his largest project to date, which is the fabrication and installation of one of the UK's largest sundials, to be erected in Victoria Park, Manchester.
The artist, who honed his skills at Accrington and Rossendale College, is hoping the project can be a launch pad for even bigger ones in the future and help him on his quest to develop his own brand.
He said: “Whatever the medium, my aim remains the same - to inspire and provoke the imagination of those that I meet along my winding path through life. All I hope is simply that they might infer some of my passion, ambition and enthusiasm for what I do.”
Ben’s artisitc career began with him producing flyers for club nights across the north west and his unique style immediately grabbed the attention of a number of high profile organisations.
He has collaborated with some of the world’s best known street artists and was recently commissioned to design his own brand of snow-sports luggage to be distributed in conjunction with Ellis Brigham, the UK's largest ski and mountaineering retailer.
He is currently working on solo projects with a view to exhibiting work in Paris in the near future.
