A TRAUMA surgeon fighting for the return of his gun licences told a court that all he had ever done in his life was help people.
Ahmed Khashaba, who said he was a hip and knee specialist and also a bouncer, insisted he was a man of integrity and had good reason to possess his weapons.
Mr Khashaba was giving evidence on the third day of an appeal hearing at Burnley Crown Court.
The doctor, who said he had qualified in Montserrat and worked at University College Hospital, London, has had his licences revoked.
He had earlier told the court he was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Mr Khashaba, of Carrwood Green, Padiham, owns land near Crown Point, Burnley, and said he wanted to upgrade to a .243 rifle to hunt deer and wanted the reinstatement of other weapons.
The hearing continues.
