IT WILL be a match of the day with a difference for soccer star Phil Neville - for he's planning to wed Rossendale girl Julie Killelea in an end of year millennium wedding.
Julie, 23, of Chapel Hill, Rawtenstall, has been dating Phil, 22, for more than two years.
And when he popped the question during a romantic Valentine's day meal she didn't hesitate to say yes.
The couple will wed in front of dozens of family and friends at Julie's local church, St James the Less in Rawtenstall. Bridesmaids will include Julie's sister Amanda, a reporter with the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, and Phil's sister Tracy, and Philip will break with tradition by having two best men, his pals Reading striker Grant Brebner and Dave Gardner who plays semi-professional football for Morecambe.
Guests will include Phil's brother Gary, and a host of other Manchester United stars and their partners.
The traditional Catholic ceremony, performed by Father David Lupton, will be followed by a reception for 300 guests at a five star hotel.
But the newly-weds won't have time for a honeymoon due to Manchester United's hectic football schedule, and Phil will be back at training straight after the millennium holiday.
Julie, who works as company secretary for her family's Crawshawbooth-based construction firm, is a former pupil of St James the Less RC Primary school, Rawtenstall, and St Hilda's RC Girls' School in Burnley.
She lives with her parents Bob and Helen Killelea at Chapel Hill, Rawtenstall, but will soon be moving into the new home she and Philip have bought.
