BLACKBURN Rovers' two Academy sides extended their 100 per cent records by another week with two more victories at the weekend.
Rob Kelly's Under 19s romped to a 4-1 win over a physical Crewe Alexandra at Brockhall on Saturday.
But undoubtedly the result of the weekend was achieved by Ian Miller's Under 17s who beat Spurs 3-0 to exact some revenge for last season's FA Youth Cup exit.
"That was a terrific result and a terrific performance," said Academy Director Bobby Downes.
Young Frenchman Tarek Sakali set the ball rolling with a brilliant goal in the first half.
Then further strikes from John Alexander, who is currently on trial from third division outfit Darlington, and Andy Reid secured the points at the end of a thoroughly rewarding contest.
"Tarek scored a great goal," said Downes.
"He's a young French lad who's in his first year with us and he has a lot of ability, although he sometimes doesn't always deliver the end product which is something we are currently trying to get across to him.
"He'd had two other good chances before his goal but then ended up scoring from the most difficult one."
Quakers product Alexander also caught the eye and earned himself another chance to impress after scoring the second goal for Rovers.
"He did well and we'll have another look at him this weekend," said Downes.
"But, overall, it was another great team performance by our youngsters.
"Tottenham are a talented side with some decent players.
"So it was good to beat them, especially considering we had three centre-backs missing which meant we had to patch things up at the back."
In the Under 19 game, Paul Gallagher maintained his superb start to the season with two more goals as Rovers eased to a third straight victory.
Neither side could break the deadlock in an even first half but Rovers turned the screw after the break as Gallagher (2), Andy Bell and Jerome Watt all found the net.
