HYNDBURN MP Greg Pope claimed £21,613 in expenses for 2008-9, it was revealed yesterday.
The majority of this went on £18,000-worth of mortgage interest.
The expenses claims made by Mr Pope for 2008-09 were revealed yesterday on the Parliament website.
He also repaid £187.40 in August 2008 after claiming too much mortgage interest, and was told to provide evidence of £453 in utilities and council tax claims on his London second home.
Mr Pope will be standing down as Hyndburn MP at the next general election.
